Countless decommissioned military and research starships were abandoned in unmonitored deep-space dead zones, felled by interstellar storms and systemic collapses. Void of interstellar jurisdiction, signal coverage, and rescue access, these desolate territories became prime hunting grounds for space scavengers. Scavengers survive by salvaging rare alloys, obsolete core energy units, and rare interstellar chips from derelict vessels, operating perpetually in the gray areas of cosmic law.
